Someone on the road
Posted on 11th March 2006 by TaggyI was travelling by bus when a gentlemen besides me just popped up a book titled “The FOSS india” and i my eyes lit up.There i had finally someone to talk to today :P someone i could talk a lot and i mmediately pinned him down.He was a proffessor at IITM on a bus coz he had his car breakdown and didnt waste much time asking as to how he was doing away with FOSS and he was very humble eough to wait for my questions and answer them out little by little :D
He was one of the AI programmers for Alice pandorabots :P famous for its list of prizes .Its amazing you have someone sit around u who could just be working some of the most interesting projects happening around. and He was in turn asking me about how i was going thru this FOSS and i told him that i had been trying to doi soething with Openoffice and also i can dig around UNIX OS :p as such and he was speaking to me how this HURD was replaced by linux and how this affected the Free and OpenSource Software movement.It was ojnly recently that i knew linux aint the official kernel . and that Unix in intself being a powerful server stuff could leabd to dangerous conclusings if not seen properly.
For example a corrupt in /etc/fstab is only seen as file system crruption but it can also be from sockets :O shocked ? :P
will tell ya guys later :D my time here is running away :P i was :D feeling so dumb :P for sometime and im happy when im gettin down frm thsi 47A again :p he he i got to learn somethin froma gr8 man .

I seriously doubt you only played with the codelabs /etc/fstab file and finally got it corrupted.
Next time i see you ,you are dead.
