Just one among the many stupid SEO contest !! but they arent that big a trouble except for people who start spamming with it .
The Aim of the contest as its there
“The aim of the SEO is to create a website which will top Google’s rankings when a given search string is used.”
What people rushed up to was start a comment spree on various blogs and linking their on evryone elses blog without realising they r doing things against the rules and without actually helping themselves. Here are some reasons why it wont work .
* Simply providing link back to Your blog wont increase your page rankings with Google`s recent release when they added a rel=”nofollow” hose links won’t get any credit when we rank websites in their search results.And almost all Blog`s have followed this up so your success rate in SEO events doesnt increase.
* Spamming on other`s blog is against the rules
* Wordpress , the most popular blog engine apart from blogger has Akismet which catches all these spams
