yes the great dictator is finally no more.I am not really rejoicing at his death nor do i think he doesnt deserve a punishment, but they way people have expressed Joy ,happiness and thrown away parties at his death has made me feel terrible about our own selves again. How could we rejoice on the death of a person that too killed by another person ?.
Sure he has been convicted of horrible crimes against humanity and deserves punishment but the way it has been metted out calls for more than this. They have actually made him look like a matyr in his death and he ceryainly feels so as he told in his last speech. There is no regret ,which should be the motive for any punish but here no regret was found!!.
I think thats where a life term can be so much useful than death punishment.Atleast he will have a lifetime to think about his mistakes and probably regret his actions.
I think its a shame on people who rejoiced on another human being`s death.I certainly dont. And iam extremely happy with how the reactions from india have come out.People have clearly shown dissent on his execution and condemned it.
Wish people realise murder is not the answer for murder .Punishment cannot become a revenge!
I certainly can think one more similar case in india :)
