MGL’07 is the introduction course conducted every year for the sophomores every year by their beloved seniors ;) . It attracts lots of want to be linux users since we have some really good facilities and opportunities here .

This year it started off really well ,actually the best mgl to have happened.Lots of people ( 200+) registrants and the new annexe lab and talented speakers made it really good. Its always a nice experience to learn from your seniors .The vibe is always good :-) .

And as a bonus this time people also got their hands on a Linux booklet which helps users get going with the class and also refer for useful things later on .

It comes with Useful commands, desktops,Equivalent applications with the one in windows ,so that users dont feel handicapped.

There was also a chance to describe the eye candy stuff in linux and they loved it :-) .

I am sure there are lots of people who will find this booklet of some use .

This booklet was colloborated over the internet using a wiki ofcourse :-). If you think you have people who need an introduction and easy help with commands you can as well show them the booklet and iam sure they would love it .

Here is the booklet Link http://theyagar.info/code/glugt-booklet.pdf

And what did i write in the booklet ?

well ,all that i wrote never came in the final draft and finally ended up writing a preface :( and iam not alone ,sp2hari’s writings never came too :P

Now the team gears up for second batch that starts on monday :)

follow mgl here on MSK’s blog

well, yeah ! first two days was disappointing but considering the number of people who attended and the hall and less number of volunteers i *must* say it was the best mgl . that leaves for great expectations for next mgl :)
