My Friends,roommates ,ulcers after eating in mess ,sangeetha’s,LRSL,Beer ,My class ,exams and yeah senti last sem . This is really all about my college life .

You are only as good as your company is

Going by that ,i know iam terribly good :p .

2006 seniors .

That was LRSL farewell 2006 ,a batch that saw manu,shagan,appaji,suraj leaving .

2007 year saw alagu leaving !

and now its our turn .And its not a good feeling i can tell you . The top few things that iam going to miss going out of this college

1. Making maggi at 3am and then go have a tea at 4 in thuvakudi

2.Just keep walking to cross thuvakudi and come back at well past midnight .

3.vetty kathai adichifying in room .

4.And most of all , my room although i became a day scholar in 3rd year,thanks to hari and iyer i never missed my room feeling .They kept up the tradition :P .

5.My juniors ,surendran,anshu,lavanya ( yet another blog  :P )  and yazhini .They did give hari and me a farewell treat but thanks to suren ji that i dont have a pic to post .

And then my class ,ours really was one of the best ,nobody could screw up a sem like we did in 3rd sem and no class could set first timers like we did . I think ours was the first class when google came up to campus and also students getting foreign placements and ofcourse a  long line of MS goers .

And in the process also started a solaris club ,thanks to sourav,mayank and megha .It didnt go as we expected but personally i have become a fan of opensolaris .Its powerful ,much like what opensparc is .It may not be the ferrari that intel machine is ,but its a bus that carries a lot more with it :)

Passing out from a top Tech School does give you that cofidence needed to take bold decisions . Probably thats the reason why we are seeing atleast two startups taking shape in campus.You know at the back of your mind ,passing out from nitt will ensure you will never starve ( job’s arent that difficult to get ) and more importantly the feeling that you are one of the best keeps you in good spiritis .

Prasanna is headed for Micriosoft (Redmond ),GC (Carnegie melon ) ,aadu ( IBM ISL ),verma ( purdue ) ,evo (Microsoft) ,donatello ( microsoft ) ,usaco  ( amazon ) ,doniv ( Ernst & Young) ,MR ( Wipro ) and last but definitely not the least ,the most hyped guy in college thala (Future MLA  ;) ) all these guys have made my college as memorable as it is now .Some fights and mostly fun and friendship .

While it is sad that iam going to miss them badly ,i also know that next few years ,may be 5 or 6 could be one of the most important,fascinating time of our lives.All of us are on the verge of what iam very sure is going to a enjoyable and more importantly successfull careers.Almost all of us have shed the baggage of typical college student->grades->job and money to do what we love to ,i think thats what has set all of us apart .If i liked to create things on my own ,iam going the startup way ditching probably more attractive us job offer  ,if hari was the linux complete opensource guy ,he goes to company joining IBM which contributes to linux kernel,if doniv was non-cse topcoder,he gets a security expert job at E&Y and verma always wanted to be a research guy so he is heading for PhD .

Sure the tasks we have taken up are not going to be easy ,but as our favorite guy says

you can’t connect the dots looking forward; you can only connect them looking backwards. So you have to trust that the dots will somehow connect in your future. You have to trust in something , your gut, destiny, life, karma, whatever. This approach has never let me down, and it has made all the difference in my life.

I wish all of them a very successfull and memorable life ,it only comes once ,so give it your best shot ! and yes more importantly

The ad show a young man angry at the stupid news that most channel tell you ,starting from amitabh bachan’s illness having a toll on stock market and then he crashes the news reporter to the earth . They are supposedly wasting a youth’s time by showing such commercials and then came the real show .

Started with two VJ’s telling me that in this show they would be talking about what youth of india really want to listen to .

First a poll,

Should sridevi come back to cinemas ?

Then a movie review which was nothing but stupid . !

and then last week poll .

Was shahrukh’s krazzy4 dance better than hrithik’s ?

Tell me ,if this is all the young people here in india are looking for ? Most television shows are doing this i know but for the commercial they had for the show which shows them on such a hugh ground when it comes to catering to young people this show was downright bad .

Either I have been way too disconnected with the rest of country or mtv guys are just making fun of people . :(

And to be fair i hate the word youngistan in the first place ! ,somehow i feel like puking everytime i hear it !and add to that the way shahrukh and dood hold their pepsi can’s .

Sorry i just prefer to hold it tight in my palms and drink it till the last drop :)
