" my feelings were like those of Arjuna when he
killed Dronacharya, his Guru at whose feet he had learnt the art of war. But
the Guru had taken the side of the wicked Kauravas and for that reason he
felt no compunction in finishing his revered Guru. Before doing so, however,
he first threw an arrow at the feet of Dronacharya as a mark of respect for
the Guru, the second arrow he aimed at the chest of the Guru and finished
him. My feelings towards Gandhi were similar. I hold him first in the
highest respect and therefore on January 30, I bowed to him first, then at
point blank range fired three successive shots and killed him.  "
Told nathuram godse in court .
This series i am getting to know from nukkad is very enlightening to say the least .No,we dont hate our mahatma gandhi but an insight in to the man who killed him is very important for us i believe .
Here is what nathuram godse ,the man who shot gandhi had to say in the court before being handed over death penalty for his act of crime
[tags]gandhi,godse,india[/tags]
well atleast he was one of them.gopal godse is the brother was nathuram godse ,the man who actually shot gandhi .In a rare interview to the media he speaks about the assasination and according to him
” Gandhi never said Hey Ram ! ,I said Kingsley did say it ”
I disapprove of what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it
